Hello All,
I’m going to keep this one short, suffice to say though, I think we all waited for this one without holding our breaths, but at least hopeful after wonder woman pretty much exceeded a lot of expectations. So with that bumpy track record in mind, how did the league fair? Let’s find out together shall we?
Plot Summary - When a new threat looming, and no superman to defend them, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) decides to form a team of new heroes in order to stop it.
Pros - Affleck and Gadot as their respective heroes are great, the action scenes are cool and coherent, and it’s admittedly great to see the team altogether on the bigscreen. The humour throughout is also a welcomed addition to the film as well.
Cons - The new characters do not get enough time to develop, the villain is lame, the plot is not super interesting, and while I’m not a big fan of the last son of krypton, the way he gets brought into the movie (it’s so not a spoiler by the way they’ve basically been spoiling that for months) is questionable, and once again Lois Lane is barely used in the movie. I know she’s not related heavily to the justice league, but still if Dr. Strange can get a short but memorable cameo in a movie that’s not really his why can’t Lois Lane catch a goddamn break?
Final Score - 6/10
But you know what? I haven’t done of these yet this year (I don’t think), so what the hell: Justice League gets the lower score seal of approval. Because we can all use a bit of a break from the negativity nowadays.
Next: Lady Bird - That’s tomorrow, then I will do the suggestion box review of perfect (1985) after.
