Movie Review: Criminal (2016)

Hello All,

    Sorry for the delay on this one. The original plan had to be abandoned due to scheduling conflicts, but luckily I had the next day off to go see it. I have to say, I’m glad I took the time, because now I can say that I saw a terrible Kevin Costner movie for the next generation. Why do I say this? Let’s find out together shall we?

Plot Summary - When a CIA agent is killed before his mission is completed, his memories are transferred into a lunatic criminal named Jericho Stewart (Kevin Costner.)

Pros - Okay, despite what I said Kevin Costner and Gal Gadot might be the only cast members who are trying in this film, as both are them aren’t bad.

Cons - This film’s biggest problem is that it takes would should’ve been a silly B movie premise and plays it way too damn straight. Everything about this film is so serious and yet none of it can be taken seriously. The rest of the cast feel like they’re on autopilot, the story is predictable, they barely do anything with the premise, and the ending is nonsensical and goes for a happy ending that it really doesn’t deserve. Truth be told the whole movie is just boring.

Final Score - 1/10

If you have not heard anything about this movie, just know that it is bad. It was a waste of time that I’ll never get back and truthfully, I won’t remember this until the end of the year when it comes time to do the year end lists.

Next: I actually don’t know. I have a few options but don’t know which one to do next so, I guess consider it a surprise.
